Here’s a bracelet of copper Pippa knots and silver beads inspired by a client’s comments. There is a tutorial for the knot in Step-By-Step wire, but it’s an earring project submitted by artist Erica Husband, according to the magazine. The bracelet with the addition of beads definitely called for planning and experimentation. Stiff bronze wire was my first try because I liked the color, but I wised up after some frustrating experiments and ended up with the softer copper. I chose the warm-colored metals because of my client’s coloring. I have a lot of respect for the artists who come up with the design and do the experimentation and photography for these magazine and Web. This particular bracelet is not for sale, but I will be making at least one more version in silver 18 gauge wire and some bling-y beads.
